After 5 hours filming and editing our final concept for the one shot video assignment was completed. The filming went quite smoothly apart from a few hiccups at the start. The storyline was that a guy is bored of his daily routine which consisted of standing around smoking or argueing with his girlfriend and he just wanted to get away and go out.And dreams up a club in his head and starts to enjoy the music, but is snapped back to reality when the dream ends. Overall i am incredibly happy with the way the one shot video turned out, with the resources we had and lack of props.
the main problems we encountered were:
- Keeping the main character in shot whilst also being able to see what is in the background.
- The camera rails getting obstructed by parts of the set
- A lack of people to help with the set
